Frequently asked questions
Do you take custom requests?
Yes, I am always up for a new design challenge! Simply send me a message with a detailed description of what you're looking for and I will do everything I can to figure it out.
If it's a new non-exclusive design based on a current product style, I'll create the design, list it in my shop, and let you know when it's available. If you love it, you can purchase it!
If it's an exclusive design, we will discuss details and I'll create a new listing for you. Price will depend on the specific request and details.
- Example: a personal mini-me for yourself or a gift!
Something else? Different size? Different style, like floppy arms and legs? Message me and let's discuss!
Can I get a different color?
Not a problem! Send me a message with your color request and I will set up a personal listing for you at the same price as the current design.
Please keep in mind that I'm limited by yarn colors available. For example, I can do light brown or dark brown...not necessarily "desert sand" or "dark chocolate." Just tell me what you're looking for and if there's any question I will send you a picture of my options!
Are the stuffed toys kid-friendly?
The stuffed amigurumi are intended as collectible toys for display only.
The plastic safety eyes are securely attached, but it would take only a pair of scissors to remove them. And unlike fabric toys, the loose stitching of crochet means that pieces of the polyester fiberfill may poke out (and could be easily dug out by overly curious little fingers).
That said, while I do not personally recommend them as playthings for babies or small children, I've had many parents happily purchase them for a child. It's up to your discretion.
If you're concerned but would still like to order a stuffed amigurumi for a child, send me a message and we will discuss custom options to make them more kid-friendly (like stitched eyes instead of plastic).
